Start with the finish and length you want
The most useful booking request describes the result: colour on your current length, an overlay, added length or a particular design. Share a reference, the shape you prefer and anything already on your nails.
Menu names can cover different appointments. Ask the technician which service fits your request and whether your existing product needs an infill, removal or a different booking.
What the treatment names tell you
BIAB is The GelBottle’s named Builder In A Bottle product family. The manufacturer’s training distinguishes soft and hard BIAB formulas, so do not assume every product with the BIAB name has the same removal method. Builder gel is a broader description; ask for the actual product.
Gel polish generally describes a colour service; an overlay adds product over your existing natural length. Extensions add length. Aprés describes Gel-X as its full-cover soft-gel tip system. Acrylic appointments use a liquid-and-powder system. Each menu should explain the specific service offered.

Your existing product changes the appointment
Tell the technician the product name and previous appointment date if you know them. If you do not, say so. A current photograph helps describe what they will encounter, but does not identify the system by itself.
When changing technicians, ask whether they accept the previous work for infills, remove that product or require a new application. Keep any extra removal time and cost in the same comparison.
Compare the whole appointment
Get the total for the same request: base treatment, removal, colour, feature nails, repairs and travel if relevant. Ask for the full duration, not just the base treatment slot.

Fit the look to your daily life
Explain practical priorities such as typing, sport, caring responsibilities or keeping nails short. Ask how the requested length and shape could be adapted. Do not treat a product category as a guarantee that it suits every activity or nail condition.
For a wedding or group appointment, share the event date, people and requested treatments. For access or quiet-appointment preferences, ask what the studio or home visit can accommodate.
